All About Youth's Laser skin resurfacing, similar to having (6) Microdermabrasion procedures simultaneously, removes the outer layer of skin through the use of an Erbium YAG Laser. When repeated once a month over a five-month period, clients will notice at least a 50% improvement in the elasticity, fullness, texture, color, and appearance of their skin. Anesthesia is not necessary, and because there is minimal irritation after the procedure, client do not need to worry about recuperation time. The results are truly amazing. Unlike many other skin resurfacing techniques, Erbium YAG Laser skin resurfacing does not discriminate. It is ideal for heavily pigmented skin types including that of Hispanics, African Americans, and Asians. As many doctors and aestheticians will tell you, there are many contraindications for chemical and CO2 laser peels. Because there is no acid and minimal thermal effect, hypopigmentation and hyperpigmentation are non issues with Erbium YAG Laser skin resurfacing. In addition, there is minimal risk with this "lunch time" Laser skin peel procedure. It is also less expensive than traditional FaceLift procedures, and because treatments are spaced monthly, the cost can be deferred over months.

Laser Skin Resurfacing Vs. Conventional Face Lift 

A growing number of people prefer laser skin resurfacing to the conventional face lift. With a conventional face lift, a physician uses a scalpel to cut, remove and stretch your skin. 

With laser skin resurfacing, the outer layers of skin are essentially burned away, while the lower layers are tightened. A new layer of skin then exposed over the treated area, ultimately becoming a new, smoother surface layer of skin.

scarring associated with conventional surgical methods. 

Erbium YAG Laser Resurfacing procedures are considered cosmetic, and the patient is responsible for payment. The specific risks and the suitability of Erbium YAG Laser Resurfacing for a given individual can be determined only at the time of consultation. Unlike invasive surgical procedures there is very little degree of risk. Minor complications that do not affect the outcome occur occasionally. Major complications are very rare.
